Defrost the purchased frozen filo before you start using it. Roll the dough sheets into a narrow strip according to the size of the baking dish to fit freely in it. Then cover the dough with a damp towel to keep it from drying out. Place two sheets of dough in a baking dish and knead the melted butter well on top. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of the hazelnut mass and repeat the same procedures until you run out of ingredients.

Use 6 sheets of filo as the last layer of dough and knead the butter on top. Using a sharp knife, make 3 horizontal and 9 diagonal strips to get 36 rhombic pieces. Place the sliced ​​baklava in a preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Meanwhile, grate 1 teaspoon of lemon peel to get a crush. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar; Bring to a boil over medium heat and then add 1/2 cup of honey. Add vanilla extract and lemon peel as well. Put on the fire and boil for 20 minutes.
